The Schwarz Foundation organised an exhibition in Athens Conservatoire entitled Anatomy of Political Melancholy – curated by Katerina Gregou- that was open to the public till April 13th 2019. In the interest of the exhibition, the Foundation holded a lecture given by the journalist Nikos Vatopoulos, entitled Anatomy of (Urban) Melancholy, on Friday, April 5th 2019 at Athens Conservatoire.

The exhibition projected the work of 23 greek and international artists and that of a collective, highlighting different aspects of the contemporary political life at Europe and that of the lack of trust of the people towards the politicians.

On the other hand, the lecture given by Nikos Vatopoulos aimed to approach the psychological geography of the city that changed a lot in the last 10 years and will continue to change at least till 2020. The lecture explored the general moral of the people in the greek crisis years, their relationship with their politicians and their opinion about the city’s urban situation and status quo.

The lecture was accompanied by a conversation with Katerina Zacharopoulou, artist and director of the exhibition’s educational program.
