Visiting Teheran, I could not restrict myself from spending some time inside the former U.S. Embassy just across the road of my hotel in District 6.

It doesn’t matter if you empathise with Iranians or not, they seem to show some character and a masterful mind about how to name a museum, with an appellation that is intriguing and at the same time requires the talent of a copy-writer .

Barely “curated”, the Museum has only some old pre-existing furnitures, the additions of equipment and some banners with slogans/complains against U.S., it possibly echoes something of the late 70s era ; the fact that the Embassy was the centre of attention of the international press for at least a year.

I share above a photo that I took from the interior. * I have asked the surveying personnel about the somewhat “pistachio” colour of the walls and they replied that this was the original at a time when local students occupied the whole embassy while the U.S. government could not much about it!
