Kurt HENTSCHLÄGER presents this summer a series of different forms of art and communication through a project entitled The Three Sensorial Experiences.
Down below you will find a short description of each event as well as the dates that you can visit.
SOL is a minimalistic environment, leading visitors into the reaches of their perception. The installation builds on loss of control, shifts in awareness and a feeling of dislocation and timelessness. It stresses the ambivalent connection between our private and public selves, of being alone together.
• 24 – 28 May: internationales.figuren.
FEED.X is a performance set in an artificial environment, without human performers in the flesh. It is visceral in nature.
It points to the limits of human perception, employing both sensory deprivation and sensory overload, to immerse its audience in a seemingly infinite, kaleidoscopic architecture, a realm of pure light and sound.
• 07 June: Eurokontext Festival, The Slovak National Theatre, Bratislava (SK)
• 13 – 15 June: Festival Elektra, Usine C, Montreal (QC,CA)
SUB builds on complete darkness in a given architectural space and visitors’ reliance on sonic perceptions and navigation. The absence of light is reset in intervals by bursts of animated light, emerging suddenly out of nowhere along a panoramic LED display. Returning back into darkness, ghostly retinal after-images linger, slowly fading until the next eruption of light.
